Alongside our music curriculum we aim to ensure that there are many opportunities for children to learn an instrument and participate in rich musical activities. Throughout the school, children sing, listen and respond to music from all over the world, and learn to read and follow notation (notes and rhythm). 

We have piano, guitar and trumpet lessons taking place in the school across the week which is an excellent way for children to take the first steps into learning an instrument. We celebrate the successes of the children who take part in regular showcase assemblies. 

We use the Sing Up scheme of work, which offers highly engaging lessons, designed by specialists, so that knowledge and skills are well sequenced and developed across the school.
