Pupil Voice
We have many opportunities for all children to be involved in school improvement and projects. We value every child and feel the many roles and opportunities we offer them mean that their voice and opinions matter and make a positive difference to our school community.
We currently have a School Council who meet every fortnight with Mrs Desai to discuss school improvement suggestions, Planet Defenders led by Mrs Walker to consider how to look after the planet, beginning with our school grounds and surrounding areas. We also have Ethos Leaders who help lead worship each day, writing prayers to read out in worship and choosing which songs to sing. The Ethos Leaders consider how, as a church school, we want to allow time and space in the school grounds to reflect and be happy. This year they organised every child painting a small pebble and placing it around the site to bring hope, love and joy to others.
Children in Y6 have special roles and responsibilities in their final year with us to represent the school and lead the school to make improvements. The roles include Opal Play and Sport Leaders who lead games and help us develop play opportunities; Worship Leaders who have a key role in leading daily worship; an Events Team who organise charity events and fundraisers and School Librarians who are responsible for promoting reading in our two indoor and one outdoor reading spaces.
